Thanh Ha Than did her internship for her business school 'InHolland' at Demotech from February to July 2005. For getting acquainted with the Demotech bookkeeping system, she needed financial data. It was the idea that such data would easily come from an business plan describing an imaginary small scale enterprise.
Thanh set out to write this plan, in which she embodied much of her own experience gained with student work during weekends at a spring roll firm in The Hague.
Indeed this exercise brought up a lot of questions how to group data. Thanh's work can be divided into four sections:

• Last but not least the bookkeeping itself can be looked at in Ms-Excel sheets that can be downloaded. It is worth while to print out these sheets to help understand the general set up of Demotech's bookkeeping system in relation to Thanh's working with it.
