Short description collecting and treating feces and urine
Part of the excreta collecting facility are 4 algae ponds (seize 4,7 by 10 meter) that can be covered with plastic sheet to keep rain out. Each pond is used for a different period in the urine treatment process. Algea are used to absorb components of the urine in the ponds. The urine is deluted wit water in the best ratio.
Stirring and leading the exhaust gasses with CO__2__ from the drying and burning of feces through the pond should help the growth of algea by providing carbon.
When the algae in the pond have absorbed most of the urine compounds they are removed from the pond and dried in a centrifuge. The process can be started again by leading new urine in the pond. The feces in the oil drums are first dried in an oven then used as fuel for the fire. Having been in the oven sterilizes the drum for its next round of collecting feces. Ashes are useful as fertilizer, the dried algea can be composted, but better be used for feeding husbandry..
