This is the cover page of a manual in preparation. As indicated it is dated July 4th 1979. Demotech at that time had its quarters in the Royal Tropical Institute. We got available a wooden barrack, about 4 by 8 meters. This barrack was situated in the garden of the Tropical Institute. The research for the rope pump here described was done at this place. It was the follow up of field experience in Burkina Faso and Indonesia.
