Experiments done at Demotech in a workshop setting from July 27th to July 29th with Lotte Middelkoop and Martijn Schildhuis. Experiments aimed at getting some grip on how

• sheet elements for roofing could be made from plastic waste materials,
• how roof tiles could be made from such sheet materials and ...
• how a supporting construction could be made with low quality wood of short length using the method of Welding Wood.

Experiments

• Experiment 1
  At day 2 the experiment 1 was done to make small plastic sheet samples.
• Experiment 2
  At day 3 experiment 2 was done on larger sheets
• Experiment 3
  Also done at day3 as demonstration and experiment to construct a roof frame with WeldingWood
• Experiment 4
  As a final test at day 3 we looked at the inflammability of the different plastic sheets.
• Experiment 5
  The first experiment at day 1 was on the concept of the construction of roof tiles. We made models from paper and looked how they could be fitted together.
